What is an escape room?

Your team will work together to solve a series of puzzles to complete an objective. You are not always 'escaping' a room, are never physically constrained or locked into any space. The experience often spans multiple rooms, not just one.

When should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled booking. That will give you plenty of time to park, find us, and potentially even check out some of our neighbors in the awesome Factory Square building.

I'm late! What do I do?

If you are, or anticipate, being late, firstly, give us a call (860-426-0150) and let us know. We can wait on your group for up to 15 minutes; if you're any later, we'll need to continue with a limited game clock to keep things on schedule. We know it happens - we promise to be patient and work towards the best solution for your group, as well as our team!

Where are you?

Is there an age limit?

Our experiences aren't easy or built specifically for kids - but we LOVE hosting families and parties! All ages are welcome; just know that players 10 and under may not be able to contribute heavily, and anyone 13 or younger should have an adult with them beforehand. The Tomb and The Score are great picks for younger crews and birthdays, and our game masters go above and beyond to keep everyone in the action. Questions about a specific room? What are your hours?

We are typically open Wednesday and Thursday from 6-9 PM, Fridays 3-11 PM, Saturdays, 11-11 PM, Sundays, 1-8 PM. Our booking page will let you know exactly when we are accepting bookings. We can typically arrange for groups to play outside of these hours, inquire here!

How do I book?

Just head to our live booking calendar - BOOK NOW takes you straight to our booking platform. Groups of 4-6 make the best teams for most games, and if you're unsure of your final headcount, you can add players (up to each room's max) when you arrive.

Question 8

I don't want to play with strangers.

Accepted Answer

We wouldn't want to either! Your experience will ALWAYS be private. Only your group will be in your experience with you.

Question 9

Can I play with 2 people?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely - you just book for the room's minimum (4 players for most rooms, 3 for Do Not Disturb). Bring as few as 2 if you'd like; you simply cover that minimum. It's how we keep every experience 100% private, 100% of the time.

Is it scary? / Are we really locked in? / I'm claustrophobic!

Our experiences can (but are not totally designed to) cause slight distress. There are never intentional jump-scares or gory scenes or imagery. Players are never physically constrained in any way and exits are always available. You will never be confined in a very small space, alone or with others.

I've never played an escape room before. Should I still go?

We LOVE to host first timers - please do! Let us know if it's your first time playing an escape room, an escape room with us, or if you're celebrating any special occasion with us.

Question 13

Can I lose? How do I know if we win?

Accepted Answer

You can - but we believe in you! You'll know within the 60-minute window whether you've completed your task. We're family owned and design 100% of our own puzzles, props and electronics, so if you're close at the buzzer we'll likely let you finish the adventure. No leaderboards, no success-rate tracking - in the best way possible, that's just not what we're about here!

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope - everything you need will be there when you need it! Just bring your glasses or contacts if you usually wear them. You won't need your phone during the experience - everything you need to play is right there in the room!

We're considering a few drinks prior to our experience! Is that alright?

Accepted Answer

We'd ask you to save the celebratory drinks for afterwards - there are great spots right here in the Factory Square building! We strongly discourage alcohol before or during gameplay; your safety and a quality experience come first. Players visibly under the influence may be refused entry with no refund.

All sales are final, we offer no refunds under any circumstances.

Can I reschedule?

Accepted Answer

We're a by-booking service, so we truly appreciate you abiding by our policies - we can't make exceptions for any reason. Please call or email us as soon as you anticipate needing to reschedule. What we can do depends on how close your booking is. More than 24 hours away: reschedule to any future date and time of your choosing, or take a voucher for the full value of your booking. Less than 24 hours away: we can reschedule conditionally, depending on whether your slot gets re-booked. If another crew books your slot, you get a full reschedule to any future date and time, or a full-value voucher. If your slot stays open, the room's minimum is non-refundable and can't be credited, and any value above that minimum becomes a voucher for a future booking. Less than 3 hours away: we cannot reschedule or provide a voucher under any circumstances. If you can't make it last minute, consider paying it forward to friends or family - we're always honored to host. The show must go on!
